MENLO PARK, CA – In the spirit of the holiday season, Assemblymember Marc Berman (D-Menlo Park) hosted a Holiday Toy Collection for children in need. From art supplies to puzzles to stuffed animals, Assemblymember Berman’s office received a large collection of new, unwrapped toys generously donated by community members.

“I’m overwhelmed with appreciation for everyone who donated to our Holiday Toy Drive! This was a little last minute, and I didn’t know if we’d get a big response, so it was really special to walk in the office and see the toys piled up and ready to be delivered to Hope’s Corner for distribution,” said Assemblymember Marc Berman. “Many of our friends and neighbors are struggling to make ends meet and will be choosing between buying their children a gift or paying the bills. These donated toys will make a huge difference for many deserving kids this holiday season who might have otherwise gone without.”

Assemblymember Berman delivered the donated toys to Hope’s Corner in Mountain View, a non-profit where the toys will be distributed to kids and families in the community who may need support this holiday season.

“We are deeply grateful for Assemblymember Berman’s donation to Hope’s Corner’s annual Holiday Toy Drive. The toys he collected— and personally delivered— will help brighten the season and bring joy to the children of 250 families in our community,” said John Riemenschnitter, President of Hope’s Corner Board of Directors. “We appreciate Assemblymember Berman and his team’s generosity, compassion, kindness, and dedication to the community they serve!”
